About Me

Welcome to my blog!

I am a writer, runner, reader, librarian, artist, adventurer who loves living every day to its fullest. I currently live on the East Coast in NJ after living in Northern California for four years. My goal to train and run a half marathon in 2011 was a huge success – I loved it! Now I’m running whenever I can while working to live a healthier life every day. I finished my first novel in 2010 and am shopping my second while writing my third.

If you’d like to ask a question or just to chat about books, writing or fitness, you can email me – runnersami[at]hotmail[dot]com

  1. Good luck with achieving your dreams.

I used to live in Sacramento, back in the sixties and early seventies. Now I’m in Central California.

  3. Just stopping by to say that I’m really enjoying your blog so far! I’m working on my first novel right now. It’s funny, it seemed such a daunting task when I first started, but writing is addictive, isn’t it?

    Cheers! πŸ™‚

  4. I am glad I found your blog, I enjoy it a lot! Keep up the good work πŸ™‚

  6. Hey, I thought I was the only crazy person trying to combine writing with running – glad to have met a kindred soul! (Well, us and Murakami Haruki). It’s been a miserable winter – snow, then cold, then multiple injuries, so not much running for me. Not much writing either! But now I hope to do plenty of both!

    • I hope so too! It’s hard to make the time to run and write, but I always feel awesome when I’m finished. πŸ™‚ Best wishes with all your endeavors!

  7. I agree, I think running can refresh our brains πŸ™‚

  8. Great blog. I like your fitness blogs and I’m so glad you blog about books too. I’m always looking for a new book to read.

That must be quite the change going from northern CA to NJ.

    • It was! Fortunately, I was raised on the East Coast, so it wasn’t as much of a transition as it could have been. Glad you found my blog! πŸ™‚

  13. I glad you were freshly press, I love everything about this blog, love reading, writing, I am an artist and stared to run. Need all the motivation. Good day!

  14. Very nice blog! Will follow. Cheers! Gilly

  15. Hello Sam,
I like your blog site – very similar loves! Just finished a half marathon (UK) this morning – terrible time, despite increasing mileage and giving up alcohol! Good luck with the novel. If you want to be totally confused, have a look at my blog rubbish, then become a follower, which will satisfy my shallow, smug ego. An American lady following me, what a coup that would be…

  16. keep the good work going :))))
