Running Behind
I have been a total flake with my blog lately! My running has taken off and I’ve been loving every minute. I finished my first race back from my injury with a 10.35 minute pace. Not bad! Now I just need to work on improving my time and form. My next race is a 10k on September 29 that supports a local cancer center. After that I’ll have a 5k a month until February when I run my favorite Superbowl Sunday 4-miler. Fun!
It’s beyond amazing to be able to run again. And it inspires me too. Every hill and difficult mile I run, I remind myself how lucky I am to be running again and it pushes me to finish strong.
Awesome!
I actually just started running again after a break of, well, over a decade. It may not have been wise to pick the middle of a heat wave as a time to get back into running, but I’m doing okay. It was something I needed to do since my other life is pretty much spent parked in front of a computer.
