Inspiration

In college my teachers called it FLOW. It’s that state of being so in harmony with your thoughts and your story that words just pour out of you without effort. Some people call it INSPIRATION. It’s the point where that one sentence, that one plot point, that one character’s voice that’s been eluding them for weeks finally makes sense. Then other twists of the story begin to fall into place and the click of the pieces sliding next to one another is almost audible. And before you know it, you’re typing so fast that your fingers can barely keep up with the words and ideas that are pouring out of your brain and hours later the world shifts back into focus and you wonder where the time went.

I hope you find your inspiration today. Happy writing!

  1. Sounds like a great feeling. At this point, I’d settle for just finding a few extra minutes to do some writing.

    • I hear you! Although this snow is freeing up some time for me. 🙂
